    The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) have been the main discussion topic in the political arena over the last decade in Turkey, with a focus on curtailing military supervision over political life. This article investigates the evolution of civil-military relations (CMR) in Turkey. Thus, the aim of this study is to explore the factors and dynamics that have led to the development and realignment of CMR in Turkey. The focus will be on how military tutelage in Turkey has been ended, what factors have caused this and finally whether Turkish CMR have been normalized.

    Organizational Culture and the Turkish Military

    This paper examines the evolution of the organizational culture of Turkish military, and how underlying variables and dynamics have influenced its development. The main finding is that the Turkish military's organizational culture includes shared basic norms, rules, values, and beliefs, and that they are taught to create a common identity to entrants. Rakish military organizational culture makes employees feel part of an exclusive organization where adherence to heroism, honor, patriotism, and loyalty represent a common identity. This paper includes three main sections: a brief theoretical overview of culture and organizational culture; analysis of the evolution of Turkish military culture; examination of the variables and dynamics influencing its evolution.

    This study analyzes how the ongoing Syrian Crisis has affected Turkey's security. It starts with an overview of recent developments in the Middle East in general and in Syria specifically. It then examines the political, military, social, and economic effects of the Syrian Crisis for Turkey's security. It concludes that the Syrian Crisis represents Turkey's most challenging security problem since the end of the Second World War as it has had many profound impacts on the country.
